NCEPU’s Communist Party Secretary Zhou Jian Attended the Sino-US Education Exchange Forum

In 2018, the Confucius Institute of West Kentucky University run by NCEPU hosted the Cultural Exchange program, named China-Impression  from Gatton College of Business and Economics. Taking this chance, on the afternoon of March 13, International Education Institute of NCEPU held the Sino-US Educational Exchange Forum, aiming to promote the cultural exchange and develop the international cooperation with the United States.

 

 

Zhou Jian (Communist Party Secretary of NCEPU), Wang Zengping (Vice President  of NCEPU) and the head of International Education Institute attended the forum. Meanwhile, Dr. Breedlove (Dean of Gatton College of Business and Economics), Ms. Alexandra (Principal of St. Francis), Ms. Suzanne (President of St. Francis High School) and Prof. Pan Weiping (Foreign Director of Confucius Institute of West Kentucky University) have all been presented as well. In addition, 18 students from Gatton College of Business and Economics and all the teachers and students from International Education Institute have joined the forum.

 

First, after a welcoming speech, Zhou Jian gave an address which was named Running Confucius Institute well and Promoting Sino-US Education Communication . She pointed out that we can enrich and perfect our education system by means of combing the essences from both educational experiences and we can expand the areas of international communication and strengthen cooperation further with US.

 

Meanwhile, Dr. Breedlove (Dean of Gatton College of Business and Economics), Ms. Alexandra (Principal of St. Francis), Ms. Suzanne (President of St. Francis High School) and Prof. Pan Weiping addressed the topics of American Educational Practices, American Elite Education and the Preparations of Studying Abroad.

 

 

Fu Kang, a student who took part in the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Project sponsored by NCEPU and who is now studying in Gatton College of Business and Economics, and Asad, a Pakistan international student, shared with the audience their feelings and researches on the differences between China and American Education systems.

 

Finally, Li Yang (Party Branch Secretary of International Education Institute) made a summary about the forum. He put up that we should take advantages of the platform established by Confucius Institute to develop our own education, borrow and introduce more high-quality foreign educational resources, renew our education concepts, and bring up more excellent international innovative talents.

 

This forum emphasized on renewing own education concepts in cooperation and sharing, promoting own education reform in open education, strengthening own friendship with other countries in cultural exchange, and expanding our platform for students’ growth with the combined top-quality resources from different countries.
