"Sunshine Compensation Device" designed by our students was chosen by the 11th Beijing International High-tech Fair

From May 21 to May 25, the 11th Beijing International High-tech Fair---

    " Sci-tech Works by Young Students in the Capital City " was held in National Exhibition Centre. Sun Yichun and the other three students from NCEPU Electrical and Electronic Engineering School, who designed "Sunshine Compensation Device", were invited to display their design in the exhibition. This is the first time that works of our students were selected by "Exhibition of Innovative Works by Young Students in Science and Technology", which fully indicates that the ability of our students in science and technology innovation is gradually increasing. This piece of works came from the First Mechanical Design and Innovation Contest co-sponsored by NCEPU Communist Youth League Committee, Educational Administration Office, and Energy and Power Engineering School.

    This device flocks together the sunlight from the side that is facing the sun into high-bright light, and then use it for indoors divergent lighting. Taking full advantage of light resources outdoors, it can not only be used to reduce the consumption of electricity used for lighting, but also accelerate plant photosynthesis indoors and make the light indoors more gentle. It is environment-protective and energy-saving. The device will first use a concave mirror to gather sunlight at optical fiber transmission entrance, and then use optical fiber to transmit the gathered "high density" light to the required location with little loss, and finally use a concave mirror to diversify the light, adjust the distance between the exit of light and the lens, and we can get light needed. In the control centre of this device, high-precise mechanical control devices and high sensitive optical control circuit are constantly used to track the sunlight. While at the same time, we also design a reset switch, which can automatically reset after sunset and wait for the next sunrise. In this case, the concave mirror can gather the largest amount of sunlight at the fiber entrance.

    The 11th Beijing International High-tech Fair --- " Sci-tech Works by Young Students in the Capital City ", was co-held by the Communist Youth League Beijing Committee and the Beijing Federation of Students.
