The Graduate and Degree Awarding Ceremony for Postgraduates in 2008

On the morning of April 8th and 9th, the Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremony for  Postgraduates was held on Beijing and Baoding campuses respectively. School leaders including Wu Zhigong, Liu Jizhen, Zhang Jinhui, An liansuo, Li Heming, Lei Yingqi, Li Shuangchen, Hao Yingjie and Sun Pingsheng, as well as the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee members, chairmen of each branch Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, and relevant leaders and postgraduate supervisors all participated in the ceremony that was presided over by Hao Yingjie, the deputy party secretary of NCEPU.

    During the ceremony, the name list for 2008 postgraduate was read out by An Liansuo, vice president of NCEPU, vice chairmen of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee and Ph. D supervisor. This time, 63 doctors and 1587 masters gained their degrees and would enter society.

    Professor Liu Jizhen, president of the school, chairman of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, and Ph.D supervisor, delivered a warm speech. He reviewed the enormous achievement the university had made in higher education in recent years, expressed congratulation to those graduates, and conveyed appreciation to the supervisors who greatly contributed to their growth and progress. Mr. Liu exhorted all the graduates from the following three perspectives. Firstly, as backbone of our country, every student should further enhance their own moral cultivation to better contribute to the take-off of China. Secondly, strive for self improvement, think about the destiny of our nation, seek the truth with great interests in science and be bond in innovation. Thirdly, pursue splendid career, work hard, take major responsibility and serve the motherland with the belief of striving constantly.

    President Liu Jizhen granted degree to every doctor and shaked hands with each postgraduate. Others leaders attending the ceremony awarded certificates to those who had submitted excellent theses and excellent postgraduates.

    During the ceremony, representatives of supervisors, graduates and postgraduates addressed to all respectively. Those postgraduates recalled the good old days when they studied extensively on campus like bees collecting honey in a garden, and now they would serve the society and the motherland with their own achievements. They would put NCEPU in their mind forever and contribute to the development of NCEPU.

    After the ceremony, the postgraduates in academic costume took pictures with school leaders, their supervisors, classmates, other friends and relatives on the beautiful campus that witnessed their arduous effort in the past and current success. NCEPU, their mother school, wishes them every success in career, and expects their reunion in this university.
