The Electrical and Electronic Engineering of NCEPU Is Ranked as a Top Subject in the QS Rankings

Recently, the latest 2015 “Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Subjects Rankings” has been officially released. The electrical and electronic engineering of NCEPU is ranked within the top 400 of the QS global top subjects, a top position among the universities of “Project 211” in Mainland China, except those of “Project 985”.

As one of the three most influential university measures, QS World University Rankings comprises the global overall and subject rankings, and several independent regional rankings. In 2015, QS World University Rankings divides the academic areas into 36 academic subjects. 85,062 eminent scholars and 41,910 employers from more than 100 countries in the world participated in the professional evaluation, and17.3 million academic publications and more than 100 million referenced data (Scopus and Elsevier referenced database) were analyzed.

Fifty-eight universities in Mainland China were selected to the top 400 of the global top subjects, of which 34 universities belong to “Project 985”, 21 universities to “Project 211” and three other universities. With eight universities in Hong Kong, China and 20 universities in Taiwan, China, the total amounts to 86, making China as the second most country in the world, only next to the US (157 universities), and ahead of England (80 universities), France (56 universities) and Germany (47 universities).
