President Liu Jizhen met Ma Minglong, Standing Committee Member of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Working Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park and relative staff in Beijing on January 5th. The two parties had in depth talk on the affairs concerning school-locale cooperation and cooperation between school and enterprises.     At first, President Liu introduced the achievements on scientific research, disciplinary construction and talent training as well as the distinguishing features of cooperation between university and enterprises by NCEPU. He said, NCEPU would do research on the system and mechanism of school-locale cooperation, make out cooperative planning to promote substantial cooperation on scientific research, scientific and technical innovation, commercialization of research findings and talent training. He also pointed out that, based on the strength of system and mechanism of Suzhou Municipality and other preferential policies, NCEPU would deepen the school-locale cooperation and cooperation between school and enterprises, boost the construction of high level university and speed up economic development of Suzhou, promote technical innovation of smart grid, accelerate the low carbon economic development and make larger contribution to the development of energy and power industry.

    Secretary Ma Minglong introduced the development and features of Suzhou Industry Park. He viewed that school-locale cooperation had significant meaning to Suzhou municipality as well as to NCEPU and should be accelerated. Meanwhile, cooperation between school and enterprises is the ultimate goal of school-locale cooperation. Both need to be promoted simultaneously. He appreciated the tradition of cooperation between school and enterprise by NCEPU and sincerely hoped NCEPU would join in Suzhou Industry Park and support the transforming construction of Suzhou to drive its technical innovation and economic development. Ma Minglong also said that Suzhou municipal party committee, municipal government and Industry Park would make out supporting policies according to the cooperative planning by NCEPU and build good development environment. He hopes to see more  interaction between school-locale cooperation and cooperation between school and enterprises, so as to realize a coordinated and rapid development in the process of trying and exploring.
