National Engineering Laboratory for Biomass Power Generation Equipment, NCEPU, Was Awarded

The 11th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) was held in Shenzhen this week. On the opening day, the National Development and Reform Commission held a grand commendation rally for national innovation capacity-building and national informatization pilot project at the Convention Center, Vice president Yang Yongping, and Tan Qin-liang, Director of Key Project Management Office of NCEPU attended the meeting. This meeting officially awarded the projects of the national innovation capacity-building and national informatization pilot projects. National Engineering Laboratory for Biomass Power Generation Equipment, relying on NCEPU, was officially awarded by National Development and Reform Commission as an experimental system for improving national technology innovation system and establishing core industrial technology. ,Vice president Yang Yongping, on behalf of colleges and universities, went to the platform to accept the official awards.   
    CHTF, China´s largest and most influential exhibition of the fruits of science and technology, is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC, the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC, National Development and Reform Commission of PRC and other departments and is organized by the Shenzhen China Hi-Tech Exchange Center (Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center Management Co., Ltd.). CHTF, aiming to attract projects, technology, capital, talents, markets and information, seeks innovation and entrepreneurship by converging key factors for innovation and entrepreneurship to promote technological innovation and industrialization of research findings and upgrade the national strategy and industry.

    Therefore, the official award on CHTF is of great significance. With the support of CHTF, National Engineering Laboratory will attract wide participation of the whole industry and related disciplines, further promote the combination of basic research achievements and industrialization, and establish a common platform for general technology research and industrialization of innovation achievements.

    National Engineering Laboratory for Biomass Power Generation Equipment focuses on breaking through the technical bottlenecks of biomass direct combustion, mixed combustion and gasification power generation technology and developing high efficiency and low-cost biomass power generation technology and complete sets of equipment , suitable to China´s national conditions, and thus providing technical support for China´s biomass power generation industry and bases for China´s energy strategy decision making.
