President Liu Jizhen of North China Electric University met with Deputy General Manager Zhang Chengjie of China Guodian Group on September 7th. The two leaders held an in-depth discussion on how to improve scientific innovation in the field of new energy and expressed their willingness to strengthen university-enterprise cooperation.

    NCEPU is a national key university specializing in energy and electric power. In 2007, the School of Renewable Energy was established here, the first of its kind China. The newly established school aims at cultivating professional talents for the renewable energy enterprise and providing technology support as well. Guodian Group made extraordinary achievements in scientific innovation. With its subsidiaries Longyuan Group being the leading enterprise in domestic wind power industry, as well as Kehuan Group owning world-class technology for energy saving and environmental protection and making striding development recently in the blower manufacturing, Guodian group owns an obvious edge in the exploration of new energy.

    President Liu viewed that to vigorously develop new energy is of crucial importance for China to tackle climate change and safeguard energy. Guodian Group’s strategy of changing traditional way of energy development to proactively explore new energy to realize enterprise transformation is achieving significant results. It totally responds to the new energy scientific innovation project of NCEPU. He hoped that the two parties could strengthen cooperation in cultivation of talents, transformation of scientific fruits, etc.

NCEPU provided many excellent talents for the development of electric power in our country as well great scientific and technologic support for Guodian Group, said Deputy General Manager Zhang.

    He also introduced Guodian’s strategy of making the development of new energy a leading force for the entire Group and the plan to import high-level personnel from abroad. Guodian Group paid close attention to import oversea personnel and construct innovation base. It had recently been listed on the national enterprises importing high-level personnel from oversea. Its new energy institute is also undergoing in-depth planning and demonstrating. At the same time, Guodian Group proactively explored different ways of recruiting and made steady progress in talents introduction. With a solid foundation for cooperation between Guodian Group and NCEPU, the two parties should give full scope to their advantages and carry out further higher-level cooperation that benefits both sides.
