The Delegation of Ghana University Visited NCEPU

On the afternoon of April 7th, Vice President Yang Yongping met Vice President Dr Gary Boirc of Ghana University, with the related persons in charge from College of Environmental Science and Engineering company, Department of International Cooperation, Management Office, and Modern Electric Power Science Co., Ltd etc.

    Vice-President Yang Yongping expressed his warm welcome to the delegation and sincere gratitude for their contribution to the communication and cooperation of the two universities. Afterward, he introduced the historical involvement, the current situation, as well as the incomparable advantage in talent cultivation, disciplinary building, and scientific innovation.

    Vice President Dr Gary Boirc expressed his sincere gratitude for the treatment and introduced the Ghana University, with the hope that an even wider communication and cooperation can be achieved in scientific research, teaching and talent cultivation.

    Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering Zhao Yi made a report of Research on the Separation and Use of CO2 in Gas and Vapor. In this report, he introduced the basis and significance, the current situation home and abroad, and the basis for the research in our university. Besides, he gave a detailed introduction of the prediction model of chemical fluid phase equilibrium and interfacial tension, carbon chemistry and its utilization, etc

    Then the two sides exchanged their ideas on the cooperation in teaching, talent cultivation, scientific research, as well as their ideas of the current situation and existed problems of the separation and use of CO2.

    While expressing his academic points, the chief scientist of Canadian National Energy and Environmental Research, dean of Sino-Canadian Energy and Environmental Research Canter expressed his willingness and interest to promote the cooperation and mutual benefit of the two universities.

    The two sides signed the memo on the cooperation of education cooperation.

    Two universities have well developed relationship. An the end of 2005, the two parties built the Energy and Environmental Research Center together, which is engaged in the frontier field of energy and environmental science, in order to solve the major problems in energy and environmental elementary science and engineering technology that people must face.
