On July 6-11, on behalf of our school, the vice principal, Yang Yongping, visited the University of Genoa and the University of Bologna in Italy, and the Madrid University of Technology in Spain, and built cooperative partnerships with University of Genoa and University of Bologna in Italy.
On July 6, during the visit to University of Genoa in Italy, the two school agreed on the establishment of the Confucius Institute, and after the discussion, the two sides signed the relevant agreements about it.
During the visit, the vice principal, Yang Yongping, made an in-depth discussion with the university’s vice president, Michele Piana, and the high level academic training director, Ricardo D’Eredita on the aspects of academic exchange, subject development planning and joint academic research, etc. In line with the principle of reciprocity and mutual benefit, the two sides agreed to carry out the extensive communication in the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level, and to develop the double degree and non-degree program. At the same time, the two sides agreed that they had great similarities on new energy and renewable energy subjects and will actively promote the two schools teacher exchange and scientific research cooperation in the future. After that, Yang and Michele Piana signed the two school cooperation memorandum. This was our first cooperation agreement signed with the Italy university and marked a new breakthrough on the internationalization of our school.
On July 7, Yang visited the famous University of Bologna in Italy which was recognized as the first modern university in the world. The two sides made an in-depth discussion on the programs of students exchange and double degree, and signed the cooperation memorandum. The cooperation with the University of Bologna will turn our school’s students exchange, teachers exchange and scientific research to a new level.
On July 9-10, Yang came to Spain and visited the Madrid University of Technology, during the visit, Yang met with the university’s vice principal, Narciso Garcia and the principal assistant, Professor Angel Alvarez. The two sides agreed that from 2016, the Madrid University of Technology will expand the number of exchange students in our school, and the two schools will help to apply for the Chinese government scholarship to fund a batch of doctors to come to the Madrid University of Technology and study the joint PhD. Besides that, the two sides also agreed to launch the joint master degree program and cultivate high level talents.
