NCEPU Holding 2020 Working Conference on All-out Strict Party Governance

On May 26^th, NCEPU held 2020 Working Conference on All-out Strict Party Governance. At the conference, all participants fully studied and implemented the spirit of the important remarks President Xi made in the fourth plenary session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Provisions on the Implementation of Main Responsibility in All-out Strict Party Governance by the Party committee (Party group) and Video Conference on All-out Strict Party Governance in the Educational System in 2020. They also carried out studies and analysis to assess the all-out strict Party governance situations in NCEPU and make arrangements for the key work of 2020 in this respect.

The Conference was held in the form of radio, synchronous broadcasting in Beijing main campus and Baoding branch campus. The university leaders, members of the Party Committee, members of the Committee of Discipline Inspection, middle-level cadres, committee members in charge of organizational work, members in charge of discipline inspection by all Party committees (General Party branch and Party branch) directly under the CPC attended the conference. The Conference was presided over by Yang Yongping, President and Vice Secretary of Party committee of NCEPU.

Zhou Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee of NCEPU, made a remark themed at “Implementing Responsibility, Strengthening Supervision, and Promoting All-out Strict Party Governance to In-depth Development. She reviewed the main work of 2019, and pointed out that the Year 2020 is key for NCEPU to comprehensively promote the construction of “Double First-class”. It is also the key year in enhancing the mode of intensive development, so it is very important to do well in implementing all-out strict Party governance. At last, she stressed that all-out strict Party governance was always on the road. With heavy tasks, limited time, huge risks and challenges, we should maintain political sobering and political orientation, adhere to the original intention of educating people for the Party and our country. We should closely unite around the Central Committee of the Party with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and work hard and forge ahead in a bid to write a new chapter of all-out strict Party governance, thus providing strong political support for the implementation of moral education, which is the basic task, and for the construction of a high-level research-oriented university, and contributing to securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Zhou Jian signed Responsibility Agreement for All-out Strict Party Governance and Responsibility Agreement for Ideology with representatives from grass-roots units. He Hua, Vice Secretary of Party committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, conveyed the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and deployed the discipline inspection and supervision work in 2020.

Yang Yongping stressed three points in implementing the spirit of the Conference: first, we should earnestly learn its spirit to improve political standing and further strengthen the sense of mission and urgency for all-out strict Party governance. Second, we need to accurately grasp the situation of all-out strict Party governance in NCEPU, and enhance our confidence in development, so as to establish a good political environment for further development and provide a strong political guarantee for the reform and development of NCEPU. Third, we should be brave to take responsibility and pay close attention to the implementation of our work. We need to turn the enthusiasm and drive aroused during the theme education of “Remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind” into a strong driving force in promoting the construction of a socialist university with Chinese characteristics and speeding up the construction of “Double First-class” in an attempt to write a new chapter in the all-out strict Party governance.
