″30•60″ Energy and Power Innovation and Development in the New Era Conference Held in Baoding

In order to implement China's goal and vision of carbon emission reduction, ′We aim to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060′, which was proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 75th session of the General Assembly, and to promote an all-round green transition for economic and social development. ″30•60″ Energy and Power Innovation and Development in the New Era Conference Held in Baoding was jointly held by NCEPU and Baoding Municipal People's Government successfully in Baoding City on Dec.19,2020.  Nie Ruiping, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Hebei Provincial People’s Congress, Su Yinzeng, Vice Chairman of the Hebei Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, Huang Xuenong, Director, Electricity Division, National Energy Administration. Shu Yinbiao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chairman of the Party Group of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., Liu Guoyue, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and General Manager, Director of National Energy Investment Group Co., LTD. More than 260 people from all walks of life attended this conference. Zhou Jian, the Party Committee Secretary of NCEPU, Dang Xiaolong, the Secretary of Baoding Municipal Party Committee, made speeches respectively. Yang Yongping, President of NCEPU，presided over the conference and signed the contract. Guo Jianying, Mayor of Baoding attended and signed the contract.

Nie Ruiping, Huang Xuenong and Shu Yinbiao delivered speeches respectively. On behalf of the four leading groups in Baoding City and the 10 million people of the city, Dang Xiaolong extended warm congratulations on its achievements of NCEPU. On behalf of NCEPU, Zhou Jian expressed the sincere gratitude to all circles of society always caring for and supporting the construction and development of NCEPU.

At the opening ceremony, Yang Yongping and Guo Jianying, signed the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement in the New Era on behalf of NCEPU and Baoding Municipal People's Government respectively. Academician Liu Jizhen shared his thoughts on the overall green transformation and high-quality energy development, upheld the vision of "Thought on the path of energy transformation under the goal of carbon neutrality ". Academician Tang Guangfu gave the keynote speech on the theme of "Thoughts and Countermeasures of Power System Supporting Energy Transformation and Development in China". He put forward corresponding countermeasures from two aspects of energy transformation development strategy and power system challenge, which provided an important technological path for building a new generation of clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system. Xia Wenbo gave the keynote speech on the theme of "Cooperation between Schools and Enterprises, Energy Industry for a New Future ", and introduced Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.'s advantages in university-enterprise cooperation, which provided important technical support for large-scale new energy access.

Regarding the implementation of the "30•60 Goal", the conference is committed to promoting low-carbon development and jointly building the theme of China's electric valley. On the basis of consulting the opinions of the academicians, energy and electric power colleges and business leaders, the "30•60" Baoding Declaration on Energy and Power Innovation and Development in the New Era had been drawn up and published.
