On the morning of Oct. 11^th, the forty-fifth sports meeting grandly opened on the playground of Baoding campus.

 

        School leaders, Wu Zhigong, Zhang Jinhui and Li Shuangchen, assistant principals, Mi Zengqiang, Lv Fangcheng and Guo Xiaofeng, heads of functional sectors and departments attended the opening ceremony. Wang Zengping, Vice-president, hosted the ceremony.

 

        The sports meeting started with the entrance of all referees and athletes. With orderly steps and loud slogans, all unions marked the 55^th university anniversary with passionate spirits and perfectly showed their sportsmanship of endurance and persistence.

 

        After the flag-raising ceremony, school party secretary and chairman of sports commission, Wu Zhigong, delivered the opening speech. On behalf of NCEPU, Secretary Wu gave the warmest greetings and best wishes to all athletes. He hoped that, athletes would develop NCEPU spirits and mark the school anniversary with good spirits and excellent performance to ulsher in a new era for the construction of high-level university.

        Then Chen Shangsi and Wang Xuan swore, representing athletes and referees respectively.

        Wu Zhigong declared NCEPU 45^th sports meeting open.

 

        All teachers and students watched the opening ceremony. Wulingfeng, performed by passionate students, showed the upward outlook of NCEPU teachers and students. Relay Race of Happiness, the child mass game and Youth Dance--Latin & Street Dance, the faculty mass game, vividly showed youth beauty of these two periods in the life. The vigorous and harmonious Military Boxing performed by students displayed their vigor and made a strong visual impact on all audiences.

 

        After the performance, Wang Zengping declared the end to the opening ceremony and the start of the sports meeting.
