NCEPU and University of Cambridge Set Up Global Sustainable Development Center

        On Sept. 12th, University of Cambridge-North China Electric Power University Centre for Global Sustainable Development was founded in NCEPU. Aimed at global sustainable development and based on international advanced technology, this center carried out scientific research of green power, which was of great significance for national energy structure adjustment. Wu Zhigong, Party Secretary of NCEPU, Pro. McMahon of University of Cambridge, Gao Wen, Deputy Director and Secretary General of PECC, Wu Qiong, CFO of National Development and Reform Commission International Cooperation Center, Liu Wei and Fang Fang, Party Branch Secretary and Vice-dean of Department of Control and Computer Engineering attended the launching ceremony. Liu Shi, Dean of Department of Control and Computer Engineering, hosted the ceremony.

 

 

        Pro. McMahon of University of Cambridge expressed great expectations for the center. He hoped that, Centre for Global Sustainable Developmentwould promote mutual exchanges and cooperation, faced with problems and challenges of global sustainable development.

 

 

       Party Secretary, Wu Zhigong congratulated on the foundation of University of Cambridge-North China Electric Power University Centre for Global Sustainable Development. He expected that, the center would focus on important and difficult problems in economic society sustainable development, and carry out strategic and prospective scientific research to overcome scientific and technology problems and to make international leading achievements in energy saving and emission reduction.

 

 

        Finally, Party Secretary, Wu Zhigong, on behalf of NCEPU, awarded Pro.McMahon the visiting professor certificate.
