We Signed Cooperation Agreement with Saskatchewan Power Company of Canada and University of Regina

        On August 26, vice president Mike Monea of Saskatchewan Power Company of Canada, department manager Mr. Yu of International Business Affairs and David Malloy,vice president of University of Regina visited our university.The three parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Vice president of our university Yang Yongping received the visiting guests.

        Firstly, Yang Yongping expressed warm welcome to the Canadian guests. He then pointed out that there exists extensive common interests among Saskatchewan Power Company, University of Regina and our university in research fields of energy, environment and sustainable development, etc. Therefore, it is important that the three parties cooperate, complement each other’s advantages, and solve the problems of common concern.

        Vice president Mike Monea bears full confidence in cooperation with the two universities. He hopes that the cooperation will help to promote greater achievements in fields of energy and environment.

        Vice president David Malloy said that the university of Regina is a public research-oriented university, which identified three key themes of research around sustainable development, human development and knowledge innovation and discovery. It hopes to have excellent performance in fields of energy, natural resources and environment. He believes that the tripartite cooperation will surely bring development and progress in research fields of energy and environment for each.

        Based on the cooperation agreement, the three parties will work together in future to facilitate cooperation research in research institutions and personnel, actively exploring mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities in areas of energy, environment, clean energy, climate change, pollution reduction and carbon capture, utilization and storage, etc.
