Blue Power Pop Group Won Gold Award in 2013 Hong Kong International Youth & Children’s Choir Festival

         On July 15th to 18th, Blue Power Pop Group of our university competed in 2013 Hong Kong International Youth & Children’s Choir Festival, won the gold award in group F and an honorary title of “gold medal for performance”.

        In the competition of chamber music chorus of group F, Blue Power Pop Group of our university performed two songs Sailing Star and American Pie. After fierce competition with other competitors, Blue Power Pop Group won the championship of group F and got the trophy for the best team chorus.

        The event began in 2006 sponsored by Hong Kong Children’s Choir Association, co-sponsors, the International Union of Chorus, etc, the aim of which is to promote communication of choral activities. It’s the fourth session this year and the largest ever. More than 100 chorus from over 20 countries and regions competed in the festival. Chorus group F is for youth and children below the age of 29.

        During the process of the competition, members of Blue Power actively communicated and exchanged ideas with other groups, audience and judges, displaying a positive spirit to all the international friends. After the competition, the international famous judges spoke highly of the performance of Blue Power, carried on thorough discussions with the conductor and group members, put forward valuable suggestions and expressed hopes for its future development.

        Over the years, adhering to the spirits of NCEPU, Blue Power Pop Group has won considerable honors on national and international high-end stages, which has become a highlight spot of our university.
