Delegation from Our University Got the First Prize in National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition

        On June 6^th to 9^th,the Third National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition was held at Dalian University of Technology. Delegation from our university, formed by students You Taiwen, Duan Zelong and Tang Rui from school of Mechanical Engineering,following the first prize in the previous achievements, won the first prize again.

        The National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition is one of the most influential national undergraduate events. It’s a  national-level undergraduate science and technology innovation contest program approved by Ministry of Education, sponsored by Ministry of Finance, and hosted by the Department of Higher Education. The purpose of the contest is to promote the cultivation of undergraduates’practical abilities and innovation consciousness, improve the quality of undergraduate education and talent cultivation. The topic of this session is “Carbon-free Cars Obstacle Race  ”.

        Delegation from our university smoothly entered the national finals after competitive selections between universities and in provinces. Thanks to the obvious advantage in practical engineering ability of the students from our university, they were able to find out problems timely at the scene, then put forward solutions to the problems, and begin implementing their scheme. The three students kept calm in the competition, fighting relentlessly and got the highest score in preliminary stage, winning the first prize ultimately.The result fully shows what an important role that the nation-level engineering training center construction at our university plays in the cultivation of students’engineering training ability and innovation capacity. It will also play a positive role in promoting the reform of teaching in engineering training and improving the quality of innovative talent training at our university.
