We Entered Top Four in North Region Finals, the First Session of China University Football League

        On May 22^nd, the opening ceremony of north region finals, the first session of China University Football League (campus section) was held in Yanbian University.  16 champion teams from 12 divisions to the north of the Yangtze River, unfolded the fierce competition.

        Guided by the four coaches Wang Jianwei, Yun Xin, Yan Xu and Yang Meng, our school team made its debut at the competition terrain of China University Football League on May 22^nd. We first beat the opposite team from Jilin University by 4-1,   creating a record that a team wins in the first game of its debut. Soon afterwards, our school team beat the teams from Northeast Agricultural University and Beifang University of Nationalities separately by 2-1 and 2-0, thus, entering the top 8 as No.1 in the group for all three wins, which made quite a historical breakthrough.

        In the quarter finals, our vice-president Sun Zhongquan came to the game in person and all the students watching cheered on the players. Seeing that the players couldn’t open the situation, Mr. Sun tried to encourage and boost the morale of the players during the half-time interval.

        Then during the second half of the game, our players’spirits were running high and got three goals successively, beating the team from Taiyuan University of Science and Technology by 3-0. In the end, our school team triumphed to the top 4 and got the qualification to participate in the national finals.

        On May 28^th, our players will play the host team from Yanbian University, qualifying for the final.
