The Opening of "the 2013 Chinese Learning Paradise ----Kun Xiang Beijing Camp" in NCEPU

On the afternoon of April 16, the opening ceremony of Overseas Chinese Youth " the 2013 Chinese Learning Paradise ----Kun Xiang Beijing Camp" was held in NCEPU. 48 overseas Chinese Youths from Philippines participated the ceremony, and they will study in Beijing for the next four weeks.

Li Xianguo, the deputy secretary of Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China (CLEF); Gao Yunchao, the deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality; Yang Yongping; the deputy president of North China Electric Power University; Wang Xuesong, the researcher of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Office of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission; and Huang Duanming, the Chairman of the Philippines Chinese Education Research Center attended the opening ceremony and made speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Yucheng, the director of Publicity Department of the Overseas Chinese Affairs of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.

In Li Xianguo’s speech, he firstly expressed his welcome to the arrival of campers from Philippines and showed his thanks to the strong support from the Overseas Chinese Affairs of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, NCEPU and Kun Xiang Investment Corporation.

In Yang Yongping's speech, he said that, he felt so honored to host the 2013 Chinese Learning Paradise ----Kun Xiang Beijing Camp. But also, he has a great responsibility to strive to make the Beijing camp to be camp boutique and a memorable "Chinese Learning Paradise" this year, according to requirements of the Overseas Chinese Affairs of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.

Huang Duanming firstly expressed thanks to the host of this activity. He hoped that each camper can cherish the golden opportunity and like Chinese and the Chinese culture more through this event, bring their own unique advantages into play and be the bridge of communication between Chinese and foreign countries.

At the last of the opening ceremony, participating leaders granted camp flag to campers and posed for pictures with them for memory.
