The Opening of Turkmenistan Power Seminar Class

        On April 11, the opening ceremony of the Turkmenistan Power Seminar class, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by our school, was held. This is the ninth issue of the ministry of commerce foreign aid technical training class hosted by NCEPU. 19 counterparts in the electric power industry from Turkmenistan will go through a period of 14 days of learning in our school.

        Xu Yanping, the director of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Commerce Department in Hebei province; Lv Fangcheng, the president assistant of NCEPU and heads of concerned departments   attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Jianfu, the deputy director of the International cooperation department of NCEPU.

        In Xu Yanping’s speech, he said that to improve the level of electric power industry and guarantee economic operation of power grid is a common subject of both China and Turkmenistan. In the seminar class, students can learn theory and practical technology in electric power technology and operation in China and lay a more solid foundation for promoting the development of power industry in their country and fine and close cooperation in the future between China and Turkmenistan.

        In Lv Fangcheng’s speech, he said, the seminar class is a great event to strengthen communication and enhance friendship between China and Turkmenistan and a golden opportunity to exchange the electric power technology and improve the level of science and technology between the two countries.

        Student representative Hilda Edinburgh said, he thanked very much for such an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the embassy of the People's Republic of China, Department of Commerce of Hebei province and NCEPU. He said that he really looks forward to learning the advanced power technologies and technical innovation program from China. Therefore, he will take full advantage of these training opportunities to make a depth communication with electricity experts and scholars in China, and to study advanced power technology and knowledge with the purpose to make better contribution to their country's electric power industry.
