NCEPU’s Graduate Workstation in Hainan Power Grid Corporation Inaugurated by President Liu Jizhen

        Recently, the inauguration ceremony of graduate workstation jointly established by NCEPU and Hainan Power Grid Corporation was held in Hainan Power Grid Corporation.

        The station was inaugurated by Mr. Liu Jizhen, president of NCEPU, and Mr. Liu Yingshang, chairman and secretary of Party Committee ofHainan Power Grid Corporation. Executive vice president of Graduate Department of NCEPU, Ms. Zhao Dongmei, and director of China Electric Power Research Institute of Hainan Power Grid Corporation, Mr. Wu Qing signed the agreement on behalf of both sides. General manager of Hainan Power Grid Corporation Chuai Xiaoyong, vice general manager Zhang Mi, director of NCEPU party committee office and school office Wang Qinghua attended the ceremony. The conference was chaired by vice general manager of Hainan Power Grid Corporation Zhang Mi.

        President Liu Jizhen pointed out in his speech that Hainan, the southernmost province of China, is the largest special economic zone, who has glorious prospect in building an international tourist attraction, and enjoys exceptional advantages in conducting electric power researches. NCEPU has long-standing friendship with Hainan Power Grid Corporation and has had successful cooperation in significant fields like smart grid and power generation with renewable energies. The joint establishment of the workstation is aimed to cultivate graduate students, to strength the cooperation and exchanges between researchers from both sides, to develop extensive industry-university-research cooperation, and to enhance the cooperative relationship on the basis of pragmatic attitude and mutual benefit.

       Later, Mr. Chuai Xiaoyong pointed out in his speech that, a great many technical problems are still impeding the way of building Hainan Power Grid Corporation into an internationally advanced power grid corporation to meet the needs of Hainan province, an international attraction.  It is imperative to improve the technology of power grid. While NCEPU, as a top university in energy and electric power, enjoys a great many renowned experts, the most advance research fruit and the latest news of technology trends. By taking advantages of both sides, the cooperation is bound to achieve mutual benefit and exert strong vitality in a more standardized, rigorous and scientific way. 

       Then leaders from both sides exchanged their ideas and discussed on the topics like mutual support and mutual development of university and enterprise as well as the way to build a successful workstation under the banner of “electricity”.
