Vice President Yang Yongping Met Leaders of Beijing Overseas Chinese Affairs Office

        NCEPU Vice President Yang Yongping met Vice Director Gao Yunchao and his party belonging to Beijing Overseas Chinese Affairs Office the other day. Relevant staff in charge of International Education Department attended the meeting.

        Vice President Gao Yunchao pointed that Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal Government had paid highly attention to overseas Chinese affairs. Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Beijing had not only integrated optimal educational resources in Beijing but had supported the development of overseas Chinese education; meanwhile, it had explored new modes and roads for “Going Out” Strategy and had tried hard to create communication platform promoting the linking between domestic and overseas market demand with the aid of abundant resources came from overseas Chinese people, thus, it had developed overseas Chinese education and the cause of education in Beijing. Vice Director Gao Yunchao offered sufficient affirmation to NCEPU’s achievements of overseas Chinese education, and hoped that NCEPU could have further development by combining the features and advantages of the school under this circumstance, and strengthen the construction of overseas Chinese education, also, offer better services to Beijing’s overseas Chinese education.

        Vice President Yang Yongping expressed gratitude to the long-term support and appreciation given by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Beijing, and briefly introduced our school’s general situation and features. Li Yang, Secretary of General Party Branch of International Education Department introduced the situation of the Department ’s construction and development.

        After the meeting, accompanied by Vice President of International Education Department Duan Chunming, Vice Director Gao Yunchao visited Foreign Student Apartment, and listened to the report of the apartment management personnel.

        NCEPU held the Overseas Chinese Youth Summer Camp “Root-seeking Journey——Meeting in Beijing” and Overseas Chinese Youth Beijing “Language Practice Journey——Golden Sunshine Spring Camp” and other Chinese educational projects in 2012. The former Summer Camp was held by State Council Overseas Chinese Office, and was jointly hosted by Beijing Municipal Government Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and NCEPU. Overseas Chinese affairs offices in Beijing Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Handian District, Chaoyang District, Fengtai District and other districts assisted in organizing. More than 200 overseas Chinese teenagers who came from America, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, France, Britain, Japan, and Aomen attended the activity. Overseas Chinese Youth Beijing “Language Practice Journey——Golden Sunshine Spring Camp” of 2012 was held by Chinese Language Education Foundation, and co-hosted by Beijing Municipal Government Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and NCEPU. More than 50 overseas Chinese teenagers joined the Spring Camp.
