Sixth NCEPU Staff Conference, Eighth Trade Union Congress Was Solemnly Opened

        On Feb. 22, 10：15 a.m., Sixth NCEPU Staff Conference and Eighth Trade Union Congress was solemnly opened.

        The Chairman of Beijing City Education Union Shi Liguo, our school leaders Wu Zhigong, Liu Jizhen, Zhang Jinhui, An Liansuo, Li Shuangchen, Yang Yongping, Sun Pingsheng, Sun Zhongquan, Wang Zengping and opening ceremony Presiding Chairman  sit on the rostrum. The official delegates, specially invited delegates, observer-representatives, all the middle-level cadres and related staff joined the conference. The opening ceremony was chaired by Vice Secretary of School Party Committee, Vice President Zhang Jinhui.

        Beijing City Education Union’s Chairman Shi Liguo pointed out in his speech: guided by the Scientific Outlook on Development，NCEPU Union had been working around the center, serving for the overall situation, exerting the linking function, and uniting the whole school staff to make contribution to building high-level university. The previous NCEPU Union’s Chairman Wang Ling had worked hard for the development of NCEPU and Beijing higher schools’Trade Union for many years. She established a good example as a leader of the University Trade Union. Thus, Beijing City Education Union granted her “Special Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Work of Trade Unions”.

        President Liu Jizhen gave a speech which entitled “strengthen confidence, be down-to-earth to do the real work and comprehensively promote the construction of high level university”.

        The report pointed that the task of this conference included further study and fully act on the spirit of 18th CPC National Congress; sum up all the work of our school in 2012, make a clear work plan and arrange job objectives for this year, and actively implement the “talent”development strategy, and make great efforts to improve the university management level, strengthen confidence, work hard and be practical, comprehensively promote the construction of high level university in accordance with the “Twelfth Five-Year”development planproposed by the first Party Congress and strategic targets. The report was divided into three parts: review of achievements in 2012, statement of work ideas in 2013, arrangement of work objectives in 2013.

        Director of Teachers' Representative Assembly Commission, Chairman of Labor Union Li Shuangchen delivered the work report of the 7th Session of the Trade Union Committee entitled “promote democratic management, assist team construction, and devote linking function in the construction of a harmonious campus and high level university”.

        The report reviewed seven aspects of the school's Trade Union work during the past six years: The Trade Union improved Teachers' Congress System, continuously promoted the construction of democratic politics; worked around the center, served the overall situation, assisted in staff team construction; conscientiously fulfilled the basic duty of the Trade Union to provide service for staff; built Home of Teaching Stuff as the starting point, insisted on constructing it with party, government, labors and the masses; carried out abundant campus cultural activities; actively conducted the work of female workers; comprehensively strengthened self-construction, continuously promoted each part of work to be developed well.

        During the two days of the conference, delegates will listen to and discuss the principal work report, listen to and consider the 7th Trade Union Committee work report, listen to the reports of the leaders and have a democratic evaluation, review the financial report on the work of school, consider the proposals of Teachers' Representative Assembly, consider financial report, financial review report of the 7th Trade Union Committee, elect the 6th Teachers' Representative Assembly Executive Committee and Special Committee, elect the 8th Trade Union Committee, Auditing Committee and Special Committee. On the completion of each meeting agenda, resolutions will be discussed and made.
