Set Sail for A New Journey—Grand Celebrations Were Held on Baoding Campus to Observe the New Year’s Day

       News form Baoding Campus: On the night of Dec.31^st, 2012, the campus, decorated by red lanterns and dazzling lights, was bathed in a jubilant and festival atmosphere.

       Deputy Secretary of the NCEPU Party Committee and Vice President Zhang Jinhui, President Assistant Mi Zengqiang, Lu Fangcheng and Guo Xiaofeng as well as other chief leaders of Party Office, School Office, Publicity Department, Labor Union and Logistic Group attended the New Year’s parties of graduate students and undergraduates and celebrating activities of Science and Technology School.

       Vice President Wang Zengping, on behalf of school, extended his New Year’s greetings and warm wishes to all teachers and students. By reviewing major achievements in the past year 2012, he expressed his gratitude to all teachers and students for their great contributions made to the development of the university. By foreseeing the brilliant future, he hoped all teachers and students, as part of the university, can press on and make joint efforts to build a top university under the banner of “Great Love for University, Dedication to Work, Pursuit of Excellence”.

       The New Year’s party was started with an exuberant calisthenics called “Dazzling Charm”. Followed by was a song named “Swan Goose” given by students in Inner Mongolian costume, expressing their good wishes by beautiful song and dances. The impetuous song “New Horse Racing” performed by erhu revealed to us vividly the vitality and passion of a new era. The stunning and energetic popping dance left a deep impression to the audience for their lifelike make-up and original dance movement. Urghur folk dance called “Ba Lang at the Foot of Mt. Tian Shan” was full of exotic flavor.

       Then it followed the New Year’s dancing party, in which students extended their expectations and wishes for the coming year. With the chime of the New Year’s bell, teachers and students listened to the New Year’s speech given by President Liu Jizhen from the broadcast.

       Besides the New Year’s party and dancing party, various celebrations were also held actively by every school and department. Having been elaborately prepared, the activities attracted many teachers and students, who enjoyed themselves in such a jubilant and warm atmosphere and got all kinds of gifts and left their smile of happiness in the very beginning of the year.
