President Liu Jizhen Attended the Second LeadershipMeeting of China Electricity Councilin 2012

        On December 9, the Second LeadershipMeeting of China Electricity Council in 2012 was held in Beijing. It is also the Fifth Council of Fourth Executive Council meeting and Power Enterprise Summit in 2012. President Liu Jizhen, as Vice President of China Electricity Council attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Qinghua, Director of Party General Affair and School General Affair and Hu Sangao, Director of School and Enterprise Cooperation Office also participated in the meeting.

        Liu Zhenya, President of China Electricity Council and General Manager and Party Secretary of State Grid Corporation of China presided over the meeting. Sun Yucai, Executive Vice President of China Electricity Council delivered the working report. Main representatives from the president and vice president units, Executive Vice President, Full-time Vice President and General Secretary of China Electricity Council attended the meeting. Full-time consultants and relevant representatives such as Deputy General Secretary also participated in the meeting.

        The meeting fully affirmed the whole year working of the headquarters of China Electricity Council and put forward the requirements of the next period working of China Electricity Council based on fully implementing the spirits of the 18^th National Congress of CPC and promoting the scientific development of power industry.

        Liu Zhenya, President of China Electricity Council and General Manager and Party Secretary of State Grid Corporation of China delivered a speech. Firstly, he actively affirmed the fruits achieved by China Electricity Council on promoting the transformation of the power development mode and coordinated development of the power industry, launching the research on major issues, strengthening the service foundation and so on. He also summarized the enormous achievements on development scale, structural adjustment, independent innovation, system and mechanism innovation as well as energy saving and emission reduction in the power industry over the past decade.

        President Liu Jizhen pointed out in his speech that future development of China energy and power will face big opportunity and challenge with the environmental pollution brought bythe exploitation and utilization of tradition fossil energy and the exploitation and utilization of new energy and clean energy. China ElectricityCouncil as the National Power Industry Society should be incumbent, more active, more forward and more powerful on exerting our unique function. NCEPU as a significant base for high level talent cultivation and scientific research of power industry should actively and fully exert our power and make our new contributions to China power industry.
