“Energy Economic Development Strategy Research Base” Gets the Certification of the First Batch of the Soft Scientific Research Base in Hebei Province

        Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Hebei Province released the list of the first batch of the soft scientific research bases (Hebei[2012]13), on which there was the Energy Economic Development StrategyResearch Base developed by NCEPU.

        As the major task and the unique feature of the soft science development of Hebei Province, the soft scientific research base is an open and innovative soft scientific research platform built on the basis of the personnel of high capability and excellent scientific resources.

        The Energy Economic Development Strategy Research Base is developed upon the Baoding Low-carbon Development Research Center and the Key Laboratory of Regional Energy System Optimization affiliated to the Ministry of Education. It focuses on the energy development, carbon emissions, environmental policies, optimal configuration of the energy and resources and the policies and analysis of energy on the basis of the actual social and economic situations of Hebei Province. It not only provides references for the decision making of the leaders of Hebei Province, but also makes contributions to improving the subject system of “Big Power”, cultivating talents in the soft science field and improving the researching capability of soft science.
