NCEPU Wins High Praise on the 14th Shanghai International Industrial Fair

       The 14^th Chinese International Industrial Fair was opened grandly in Shanghai, on Nov. 5^th，2012. Mr. Wan Gang, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Minister of Science and Technology, announced the opening of the ceremony.  Mr. Su Bo, Vice-Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Mr. Chong Quan, Vice-negotiator of International Trade Negotiation Delegation from Ministry of Commerce, delivered speeches. Mr.Yang Xiong, ExecutiveVice-Mayor of Shanghai gave the welcoming address. The opening ceremony was presided by Mr. Ai Baojun,   member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice-Mayor of Shanghai, and the NCEPU delegation led by Vice-President Yang Yongping were present at the ceremony.

       This session of Chinese Industrial Fair, the theme of which is innovative transformation and strategic emerging industries, is designed to develop the strategic emerging industries, to promote the new route of industrialization and accelerate China’s step toward a country strong in manufacturing. NCEPU gave high priority to this session of fair and chose twelve projects to exhibit on the fair, including the PDE – GT partial discharge uhf detection and diagnosis system, Sunlight absorbing device, KA2003 - type DH small current grounding line selection device, Wind-pooling power generation system, Super wear resistant metal ceramic material surfacing, Boiler combustion state detection and comprehensive optimization control system, Wind-light storage micro grid system, large-size motor cascade chopping and speed controlling equipment, Power system process simulation system, Power prediction system of Smart grid, EGJ - 2000 cable line automatic monitoring and management system and the TJX - D power telecommunication network management system.

       After the opening ceremony, Vice-President of NCEPU Yang Yongping accompanied Mr. Li Zhimin, Director of Science and Technology Development Center of Ministry of Education and Ms. Yuanwen, Vice-Head of Shanghai Municipal Education Committee, to visit the exhibition of our university.

       The five-day Industrial Fair came to an end on Nov. 10^th, 2012. NCEPU won the Excellent Organization Award, Outstanding Individual Award and the First Prize of the Excellent Exhibition Award.

       Chinese Industrial Fair, established in 1999, is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Committee, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Science, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the People’s Government of Shanghai, co-organized by China Machinery Industry Federation, and presented by Shanghai Donghao, International Service Trade (Group) Co., LTD. Fourteen such fairs with the functions of exhibition, trade, awarding and forum have been successfully held and it is the industrial fair of the largest scale, highest quality and the widest influence in China.
