On October 18, President of Shanxi University Jia Suotang, Associate Dean of Taiyuan Institute of Technology Li Guochen, Associate Dean of Engineering College under Shanxi University of (former Taiyuan Power Institute) Zheng Yangcheng, Associate Dean Zhang Zhushe, Director of Academic Affairs Department Liu Chengwen and heads of related department, totaling 17 leaders, visited NCEPU to research on university development, discipline construction, discipline cultivation and laboratory construction. President of NCEPU Liu Jizhen, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Zhang Jinhui, Vice President Wang Zengping and Assistant President Mi Zengping, together with heads of the Party Office, Academic Affairs Department, Science and Technology Department, Discipline Department, Personnel Department and other relevant departments attended the meeting. Mi Zengqiang presided over the meeting. President Liu Jizhen warmly welcomed President Gu Suotang and all the guests and introduced the development of NCEPU in recent years. He said, "high-level national education can only be achieved by high-level schools in all categories”. He hoped that the Engineering College under Shanxi University can achieve high standard with distinct features. President Jia Suotang introduced the development of Shanxi University in recent years and hoped to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in all respects with NCEPU. Zheng Yangcheng also made ??a presentation on the Engineering College, and expressed the hope to strengthen exchanges in undergraduate teaching, professional development and laboratory building. Attendees from the two sides made heated discussions and exchanged views on the relevant issues. Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Zhang Jinhui then accompanied Jia Suotang in the investigation to the Department of Electrical Engineering and Department of Automation. Leaders from Engineering College also visited related departments and exchanged experiences.
