Liu said that NCEPU and Purdue University has a long history of cooperation, beginning from "2+2" project, then ETIE project (undergraduate "3+1" project) to the current cooperation in faculty exchange and scientific research. It shows that NCEPU attaches great importance to cooperation with Purdue University. In 2012, a total of four students from NCEPU participated in the "2+2" project, nine students in the "3+1" project and one student in the master's program. On the basis of the existing good cooperation, we hope to expand exchange scale, innovate in cooperation model and provide a broader platform for students and teachers. Mr. Keon said he was very pleased to be able to come to this beautiful campus of North China Electric Power University. This is Mr. Keon’s first visit to China and NCEPU is his first stop, which indicates that Purdue University treats NCEPU as an important strategic partner. Every year, a number of excellent students from NCEPU come to Purdue University for study. They not only have good academic performance, but also show their talents in many ways. Some of them have gained certain influence in the local community. Since Mr. Keon has just taken office as president, Liu also sent his congratulations. Liu expressed the hope that Mr. Keon may increase the intensity of cooperation between the two parties and visit NCEPU again within his term.
