Training Courses on Modern Power System Technology and Operation Opened on Baoding Campus

       On September 12, NCEPU held an opening ceremony for the Modern Power System Technology and Operation Training Courses.

 

 

       Deputy Director of Foreign Economic Cooperation Division under Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce Bian Yanzhen, Vice President of NCEPU Wang Zengping, faculty leaders from related departments, and participants from 15 countries attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by the training project leader, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department of NCEPU Wu Yanjun.

 

 

       Bian Yanzhen said in her speech, North China Electric Power University, as the undertaker of the training courses, is the only key university in power industry directly under the Ministry of Education. It has complete discipline setting, teaching and research facilities as well as professional faculty and has made achievements in scientific research. NCEPU has successfully hosted many foreign aid technical training courses for Ministry of Commerce, and has a wealth of experience in international training. To ensure the success of this training mission, NCEPU leaders, teachers and staff made detailed arrangement and preparation. She believed that with joint efforts, the training courses will achieve fruitful results. Participants will learn advanced theory and practical techniques in modern power technology and operation and enhance mutual understanding and friendship, which lays a good foundation for future cooperation.

 

 

       In his speech, Vice President Wang Zengping pointed out that this training was an important human resource development project for foreign aid hosted by NCEPU. It is a happy event for China and other developing countries to strengthen communication and enhance friendship. It is also an excellent opportunity for domestic and foreign colleagues to communicate power technology and improve technology level. We will do our utmost to effectively organize teaching activities, so that participants can trust the quality of training. We will effectively guarantee their daily life to ensure that participants can feel at home. We will also organize some entertaining activities so that everyone can have a comfortable trip here. He hoped that all the participants can harvest knowledge, happiness and friendship in the training.

 

 

       Representative from Antigua and Barbuda Winster White said in his speech that he felt honored to be able to participate in the training courses. He looked forward to learning advanced power technology and technological transformation program. He said the power was the important issue affecting national development. All the participants would take full advantage of the training opportunities to communicate with Chinese experts and scholars and study advanced power technology and knowledge in order to better contribute to the power cause of their own nation.

 

 

       This training is organized by the Ministry of Commerce and will last 30 days. 30 participants from Antigua and Barbuda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Palestine, Zimbabwe, Mali, Afghanistan, Dominica, Ghana, Armenia, North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Chile, Pakistan, etc. are invited to China for exchanges. The participants will learn the knowledge of modern power operation and visit domestic power enterprises so as to know more about the development of China’s power industry.
