NCEPU Held 2012 Postgraduate Entrance Education Meeting

       On August 30 morning, the main building observed the grand opening of 2012 postgraduate entrance education meeting in Beijing campus of North China Electric Power University. Hao Yingjie, the vice-president of university party committeeattended the meeting. About 1400 people attended this meeting presided by Zhao Dongmei, the executive vice-president: the main principles of graduate school, graduate management office under the party committee of NCEPU and departments and schools, the newly-added graduate supervisors and head teachers in 2012, and all new postgraduates.

       On the education meeting, on behalf of NCEPU, Hao Yingjie, the vice-president of university party committee delivered an ardent speech. Firstly, he expressed congratulations and welcome to all 2012 postgraduates. Then he said that, during the 54 years running school history, NCEPU has delivered over 150,000 graduates to the society, especially to the electric industry, forming its own unique schooling characteristics and advantages, refining connotative NCEPU spirit, gathering and developing lots of excellent teaching and researching teams. The students would appreciate teachers’ elegant demeanor in various disciplines, while the teachers would be their companies on the scientific way forward. And he expected the students cherish the precious learning opportunity.

       Zhao Huiru, the vice-president of graduate school, interpreted the postgraduate education procedure in detail, especially the key circles. Li Lin, the vice-president of graduate school and deputy head of graduate management office under party committee of NCEPU, interpreted the daily education management, encouraging the students to make fully use of school’s academic report resources practicing president Liu’s ideal of “qualified plus expanding achieve excellence”. Zhao Dongmei, the executive vice-president, emphasized that the increasing funds input in the graduate education provide more and more opportunity for the graduate to study abroad at public expense, which deserves the graduates to cherish.

       Taking “academic theses writing and academic norms”as the topic, Wang Dianqi, the deputy director of school journal publishing department and chief editor of NCEPU journal (Social Science), delivered a wonderful report on the theses writing methods, norms and relevant issues. This is the first class about adhering to the scientific moral and regulating academic behaviors before the graduates begin their new learning period.

       In 2012, NCEPU recruits 2401 postgraduate, among them 193 doctoral students, 2208 postgraduates. Beijing Campus recruits 1541 students. Today’s entrance education meeting will be followed by teachers and students meet-and-greet, training program formulation and online course selection etc. And in September 3^rd, they would conduct the formal class.
