Blue Power Choir of NCEPU Won Silver Award in World Choir Games

       On July 12^th, Blue Power Choir of NCEPU participated in the 7^th World Choir Games in Cincinnati, U.S., and won silver award in the Female Chamber Choir.

       World Choir Games is organized by the INTERKULTUR Foundation based in Germany. It is the largest scale choir games in the world, which is honored as the “Choir Olympics”. Hosted once every other year, this music event has become the most fresh, energetic and significant highlights. It lasts ten days from July 4^th to July 14^th, with 362 choruses from 65 countries.

       Since its establishment 7 years ago, Blue Power Choir has always kept its favorable artistic level regardless of the alternation of its members. Thus, it has been one of the bright representatives of NCEPU. Participating in World Choir Games is another high level international artistic and cultural exchange activity after our art troupe visiting U.S. for 4 times.

       On the local time July 11^th, Blue Power Choir arrived at Cincinnati under the guidance of conductor Peng Bo. On the 12^th afternoon, Female Semichorus Group of Blue Power Choir performed four shows under the conduct of Peng Bo, including Danny Boy, Fairy Mountain Somewhere in the Ocean, Spring Come to the Field, My Blessing. Their beautiful oriental voice and excellent performance gained great recognition and appreciation from both the jury and spectators. After their wonderful performance, loud applause sounds like the tide. Besides, their blue and white porcelain dresses draw lots of admiring attention. On July 14^th, Blue Power Choir won silver award in the Female Chamber Choir on the award ceremony.

       Regardless of the exhausting journey, Blue Power Choir continued carrying forward its amazing qualities—concentration, conscientiousness, hardworking and solidarity. They sing attentively and perform the show to perfect, bringing the spectators an auditory feast and showing the elegant demeanor of Blue Power Choir and excellent strength of our art troupe to the world. What’s more, by enjoying the performances of the top-notch choruses, the members keep the faith of learning and progressing. All of these are helpful to improving their strength and confidence.
