NCEPU Held An Science & Technological Cooperation Forum With China Huadian Corporation

　　On the morning of June 12th, NCEPU held an Science & Technology Cooperation Forum with China Huadian Corporation (CHD) in main building D929.
 
　　President Liu Jizhen, Member of CPC and vice President of CHD Deng Jianling, attended the meeting and gave speeches.
　　For CHD, Director of Dept. of Technology & Environmental Protection Zhang Dongxiao, Director of Dept. of Engineering Construction & Assets Management Zhou Shunhong, and Vice President of Technology Research Institute Xiao Keqin and Zhang Guoyuan attended the forum. For NCEPU, principals of Office of Science &Technology, Office of School-Enterprise Cooperation, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, School of Energy & Power Engineering, School of Control & Computer Engineering, School of Renewable Energy, School of Nuclear Science & Engineering, National Thermal Power Engineering & Technology Research Center, National Engineering Laboratory of Biomass Power Generation Equipment and other units attended the forum. 
 
　　President Liu expressed warm welcome to Vice-President Deng Jianling and his colleagues and sincere appreciation for CHD's long-term supports. He also gave detailed introduction of NCEPU's achievements in personnel training, discipline construction, scientific research, etc. since NCEPU was managed by Ministry of Education.
　　President Liu stated that, as a subordinate university of Ministry of Education and key university of National 211-Project and 985-Project, NCEPU achieved the transformation of disciplines and built unique disciplines which took dominant disciplines as basis, focused on emerging energy disciplines and took arts and sciences disciplines as support, while undertaking national strategies and industry development in science & technology and talents. At present, all the events showed a good momentum of development. According to the data released by ESI (Essential Science Indicators) in March 1, 2012, our engineering disciplines was among top 1% ranks of world ESI, which proved that NCEPU was a quite powerful university in engineering.
　　President Liu said that, NCEPU had explored school-enterprise cooperation in the long-term running. Among more than 500 million yuan of 2011 research funds , more than two-thirds were from enterprises. Meanwhile, NCEPU provided powerful supports for enterprises in personnel training, staff training, technology research, policy advice and other aspects.
　　President Liu said that, as an unit of NCEPU board and council members, CHD provided powerful supports to NCEPU in many fields and developed good cooperation with us. Recently, Strategic Alliance Of Thermal Power Industry Technology Innovation declared by NCEPU, became the pilot of Ministry of Science and Technology 2012 Industrial Technology Innovation Alliance, and CHD was also the initial governing unit. President Liu hoped that, both sides would combine respective development strategies to ensure long-term and in-depth cooperation.
 
　　Member of CPC and Vice President of CHD Deng Jianling introduced CHD's measures and effectiveness in promoting industrial upgrading & transformation and adjusting the industrial structure in recent years, and its workings of major business segments.
　　Vice President Deng Jianling said that, in the long-term cooperation, CHD won strong supports from NCEPU's scientific research, talents and other levels in many areas, including optimized running of power plants, and achieved excellent effects. They still hoped to win supports and helps from NCEPU in CHD adjusting the industrial structure and promoting industrial upgrading, in order to turn scale of development into quality of development successfully.
　　Vice President Deng Jianling had made a three-point proposals to boost bilateral cooperation: the first was to bring all the work into a substantial operation on the agreement; the second was to fully realize bilateral exchanges, cooperation and effective docking in personnel and research team; the third was to carry out further cooperation in technology and policy research.

　　
　　The principles of the faculties, research centers and engineering laboratories introduced their research work.
　　The participants exchanged views on the areas and ways of the future cooperation.
　　President Liu concluded that, the pragmatic meeting, cutting to the points in many areas, would boost two sides' comprehensive and deep cooperation in the future. He hoped that, two sides would explore their most forward-looking and advantageous focus point in frontier fields of energy and electricity, further concise projects and fulfill various works.
