In addition, main heads of NCEPU President Office, Science and Technology Department, School-Enterprise Cooperation Office, Electrical & Electronic Engineering School, Renewable Energy School, International Cooperation Office as well as other departments and schools also attended the signing ceremony.

President Liu expressed welcome to the visiting guests, and introduced the basic situation of our university in terms of talents training, scientific research, and school-enterprise cooperation. He said that as a national key university featured by energy and electricity power discipline, NCEPU has positively extended and deepened cooperation with universities, enterprises and research institutes abroad, and NCEPU attached great importance to the cooperation with EDF. NCEPU wished to, through the signing ceremony, conduct more extensive and deeper cooperation in the fields of common interest in the future.

Bernard SALHA, Vice President of EDF and President of EDF Research Institute introduced the general situation of EDF and expressed the hope to conduct cooperation with our university. As the second largest electric power company in the world, EDF has its main business in France and Europe. Since conducted business in China 30 years ago, EDF has established great partnership with Chinese electric power enterprises in nuclear power and thermal power. EDF hoped to establish long-term cooperative partnership in china by cooperating with Chinese universities and research institutes, which also explained why it had built Beijing Research and Development Center in Beijing last year. Furthermore, EDF especially hoped to have deeper cooperation in electric vehicle charging, Microgrid and renewable energy sources, and hoped more graduates from NCEPU would join in the cooperation. At present, one NCEPU graduate works and does a remarkable job in Beijing Research and Development Center, which is also the reason why EDF wants to employ more outstanding NCEPU graduates.
