NCEPU Won First Gold Medal in the 14th National University Students Master Designer Award

      On March 8^th, winners of the 14^th National University Students Master Designer Award—China Design Education Network Theme Design & Annual Creative Contest were announced. Among the 12,853 works from 435 colleges and universities (those from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas included), including China Academy of Art, Guangxi Arts Institute, Shih Chien University and other colleges, Gesture by Shang Biyi, advertising major of School of Humanities and Social Sciences of NCEPU, won gold medal in China Design Education Network Theme Design Contest. It was the first gold medal the students of advertising major have ever won in national university student advertising design contest. Pregant Woman by Li Tongtong, Curtains by Wang Yuxiao, and “Engine” by Zhang Tao were awarded third prize, and another 15 works won Excellence Awards. Chen Ling and Pang Tao of Advertising Teaching and Research Section won Outstanding Teachers Award, and NCEPU won Outstanding Organization Award.

      The competition was held by the Sub-Committee of the Ministry of Education Higher Education Art Design Teaching Guidance and the Committee of the Ministry of Education Advanced Vocational and Academic Art Design Teaching Guidance, and undertaken by China Design Education Network, Tongji University Design Art Research Center and Shanghai Original Design Master Studio. The participating objects included different kinds of fine arts schools, design schools and arts schools; undergraduates, higher vocational college and academy students, masters, doctoral candidates, students from Chinese regions and foreign students registered in China.

      National University Students Master Designer Award began in 1997, originating from “National College Students Visual Design Competition”, initiated by Professor Lin Jiayang, cooperated by Jin Daiqiang, forged by international top designers Gunter Ram Bow(German), Shigeo Fukuda (Japanese) and Seymour Chwast (American). It's the longest, most influential, and most authoritative competition among the similar events, which received the most entries.

      In recent years, the teachers of Advertising Teaching and Research Section have been sticking to the concept of running a responsible university, implementing the talents cultivation principles of combining practice and theory, carefully guiding the students and leading the students to achieve excellent results to win honor for NCEPU.
