One Course of NCEPU Selected as 2012 National Fine-Designed Video Open Course

      Disputes and Solutions in Life, by Wang Xuemian and Fang Zhongbing from School of Humanities and Social Sciences of NCEPU, was selected in the first batch of 218 courses of 2012 National Fine-Designed Video Open Course released by the Ministry of Education recently.

      Serving university students, free and open to the public, being a scientific and cultural quality education online video course and academic forum, National Fine-Designed Video Open Course is one of the sub-programs of Project of Higher Education Quality and Teaching Reform of the Ministry of Education. 1,000 courses are to be established during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”.

      According to the Implementing Suggestion on National Fine-Designed Open Course Construction ([2011] No.8) released by the Ministry of Education in October, 2011, fine-designed video open courses are centered on universities and based on famous teachers and courses so as to promote open higher education, carry out socialist core value system and mainstream culture, propagate scientific theories, widely disseminate outstanding achievements and modern cutting-edge scientific knowledge of human beings, enhance scientific cultural literacyof university students and public, serve socialist culture construction, as well as reinforce national cultural soft power and international influence.

      NCEPU should arrange main lecturers and make sure the production of high-quality course video will be done by July 20 in accordance with Technical Standards of production of Fine-Designed Video Open Courses. When the course video is reviewed by the Ministry of Education, NCEPU and main lecturers will sign relevant agreements with Higher Education Presson intellectual property to authorize it to freely display the courses on www.icourses.edu.cn, http://www.cntv.cn/and http://www.163.com/as National University Video Open Course.
