Ganxue Won Awards in both China & International Mountaineering

      On the morning of April 21^st, the fourth “Mount Tai Champion”, China Mount Tai Mountaineering Competitionofficially started. Ganxue, that from School of Energy Power and Mechanical Engineering of NCEPU, got the third prize in women’ race.

      The first monthly competition started form Peach Valley scenic, ended in Nantianmen scenic. The whole course was about 14km. At 8 am, in visitor center of Peach Valley scenic, more than 800 mountaineering athletes across the country started to race. The temperature was suitable, and flowers made the scenic full of vigor.

      Ganxue was being in the fifth place in the first half of race. Though her waist was hurt, she managed to pass two athletes and finally won the third place.

      On April 22^nd, in “QinChi Cup” Mount Yi International Mountaineering Invitational Competition, Ganxue won second place in the women’s competition, which showed the spirit of NCEPU: “Perseverance, Solidarity, Devotion and Eminence”.  After the competition, the committee rewarded 5000 cash, a trophy and a medal.

      “Qin Chi Cup” Mount Yi International Mountaineering Invitational Competition attracted more than a thousand climbers at home and abroad. The route was from the doorway of Dong Zhen Temple to the Peak of the Heavenly Emperor of Mount Yi, 8 thousand kilometers in total. The weather was great that morning, the sun shining brightly and the wind gentle and warm. The competition began at 10:10, more than a thousand climbers started running towards the destination. There were about 2700 stone steps, and Ganxue only used about 50 minutes. During the process, she felt tired because of the high-intensity of Mount Tai competition the day before, but she still kept climbing, and finally won the second place.

       Ganxue took part in high-intensity competitions in two day, but she persisted in climbing in spite of her waist and leg hurt. She performed well and achieved good results, winning honor for our school.
