The Delegation of Sonderborg in Denmark Visited Baoding Campus

      Report from Baoding campus: On April 24, the delegation of 13 members from Sonderborg, Denmark, under the lead of its Mayor Aase Nyegaard, visited Baoding campus. Zhang Jinhui, Deputy Secretary of NCEPU and assistant president Lv Fangcheng met with the guests and undertook an in-depth conversation with them on new energy power system and low-carbon project cooperation.

      Deputy Secretary Zhang Jinhui briefly introduced NCEPU and its advantages in the researches on new energy and low-carbon. The Mayor of Sonderborg, Denmark, Ms. Aase Nyegaard introduced Sonderborg's achievements and plans for new energy and zero-carbon researches.

       Participants of the two sides held deep talks in terms of new energy research, photovoltaic industry studies, zero-carbon project cooperation and strengthening academic cooperation between University of Southern Denmark and NCEPU. As sister cities, both sides hoped to promote their cooperation in scientific research, teacher exchange visits, joint students training and other aspects in the future.

       After the meeting, accompanied by Professor Zhao Shuqiang, dean of Electrical Engineering School, the Danish delegation visited State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources, and delivered professional discussions as regards laboratory's operation principles, structures, etc. The delegation expressed appreciation for our achievements in the filed of energy, especially in new energy.

       Sonderborg, as a port city located in the southern end of Jutland in Denmark, is an industrial and commercial center as well as a famous seaside resort. As the sister city of Baoding, she is developing into a " A Valley of Clean Energy " adopting on energy-saving technology, district heating and renewable energy technologies. The city is also the model city having realized carbon dioxide zero emission in Europe.

       Prof. Zhao Shuqiang, dean of Electrical Engineering School, Prof. Huang Yuansheng, dean of Business Administration School, director Wu Yanjun and deputy director Liu Jianfu of International Cooperation Office, and entourages from Foreign Affairs Office of Baoding campus also attended the meeting.
