On the night of December 31st, 2011, NCEPU held a ceremony in the auditorium of the main building to celebrate the New Year. Present were Hao Yingjie, Deputy Secretary of NCEPU CPC Committee, Vice President Sun Pingsheng, Vice President Sun Zhongquan, and representatives of all departments and schools. Graceful dance and motivating music marked the start of the ceremony, which was pushed to a new high by “Top 10 Events in NCEPU 2011” played on the video. NCEPU administrators extended the best wishes for the New Year to all the teachers and students. Hao Yingjie, Deputy Secretary of NCEPU CPC Committee, said humorously that 2012 was a start of better life rather than the end of the world, and he expected all people in NCEPU work hard in 2012 to realize faster and better development of the university. Vice President Sun Zhongquan felt warm in such a cold winter because that all people bore heartfelt wishes for NCEPU in the New Year. Many teachers and students enjoyed themselves in all kinds of activities. Some students played board and card games on the 2nd floor of Students’ Dining Hall 3. Others danced in the ball held in the multi-function hall of International Exchange Center. Two latest films were put on in the auditorium. You could make dumplings in the dining halls. And many students celebrated the New Year in their own way. Both teachers and students were reluctant to farewell to 2011, but did look forward to a better year of 2012. When the bell for the New Year rang, President Liu Jizhen delivered a speech through both NCEPU Radio Station and NCEPU TV Station, the video of which was put on the official website of NCEPU. He reviewed great events taking place in NCEPU in the year 2011, which was achieved by joint efforts of all staff and students in the past year. Furthermore, President Liu called for all to work harder so as to build a high-level university, where more talents could be cultivated and greater development could be made. At such a new start, NCEPU looked forward to a brighter future in 2012!
