China Hi-Tech Fair2011, lasting for 6 days, came to a successful end at 4 p.m. on November 21st in Shenzhen. The closing ceremony was presided by Liu Yanrong, inspector of High-tech Industry Division of the National Development and Reform Commission, and attended by Xu Qin, mayor of Shenzhen, Lv Ruifeng, executive deputy mayor of Shenzhen and other leaders from Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of PRC, Ministry of Agriculture of PRC, State Intellectual Property Office of PRC, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, etc. This 13th China Hi-Tech Fair was opened on November 16th, 2011. Wang Yang, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of CPC and secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee declared the opening of the Hi-Tech Fair, and Jiang Shusheng, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress delivered a speech in the opening ceremony. On behalf of NCEPU, Vice President Sun Zhongquan was presented in the opening ceremony. The fair consisted of six sections, which was attended by all the provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, several chosen cities including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in China. Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission Ministry of Agriculture, State Intellectual Property Office of PRC, etc., set up exhibition areas there. 25 universities, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong actively took part in the fair, which also attracted 24 units from America, Russia, Germany, France and other countries. The Industry Management Office in NCEPU was in charge of affairs related to the exhibition, which supported by Science and Technology Administration Department this year. The two departments successfully completed exhibition through cooperation, elaborate choice of projects and meticulous design. 10 projects illustrating “production-study-research cooperation” were exhibited, among which the “Solar Optical Fiber and Light Guide Illuminator” declared by NCEPU won “Excellent Product Award” after strict review of the expert group. In the meantime, NCEUP won “Excellent Organizer” for exquisite exhibition and active participation. During the exhibition, delegation from NCEPU Technology Transfer Center, together with delegations of Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Beijing Technology Market Management Office and Beijing Technology Transfer Center delegation visited Shenzhen Institute of Tsinghua University for in-depth research and study of the successful experience in production-study-research cooperation.
