On the afternoon of November 24, President Lui Jizhen met with Li Wanbai, director of Beijing Changping Science and Technology Commission, and his party. On behalf of Jin Shudong, chief of Changping District Government and deputy chief Zhou Yunfan, they came for communication with NCEPU leaders over scientific cooperation. Wang Qinghua, director of President Office, Hu Sangao, director of University-Enterprise Cooperation Office, Tan Qinliang, director of Science & Technology Administration Department, and Qian Yuefei, deputy director of Enterprise Management Department also attended the meeting.

President Liu Jizhen extended warm welcome to these guests.  Mr. Liu first introduced NCEPU’s achievements in technological innovation in recent years, thanked Changping District Government for long-term support to this university, and referred that NCEPU had been attaching great importance to the cooperation with local governments, enterprises and research institutes. Beijing Tech, formed by NCEPU and other 10 universities, intended to build Beijing Tech Research Institution in Changping District with the aim of building “an innovative center in North Beijing and a new town for international science and education”, and finally realize cooperation with other universities, institutions, enterprises and local governments. President Liu hoped Changping District Government would continue offering preferential policies to support construction and development of the institute.

Director Li Wanbai reviewed the long-term cooperation and communication in university-government cooperation and talent cultivation. He and his colleagues believed that the construction of Beijing Tech Research Institute was in high agreement with development objectives of Changping District Government. As as the bridge between universities and enterprises, ChangpingScience and Technology Commission would try to provide preferential policies and help  establish sustained cooperation between universities and over 1,600 high-tech enterprises and 100 research institutions in Changping District.

The two parties reached initial consensus, and would like to enhance cooperation between Changping District Government and NCEPU to realize win-win cooperation and common development.
