On November 7, Yang Yongping, vice president of NCEPU met with Prof. Stefano Brandani and 3 other guests from University of Edinburgh. Mr. Yang reviewed cooperation in scientific research and education between University of Edinburgh and NCEPU, and indicated that NCEPU attached high importance to cooperation with University of Edinburgh in clean energy, in which the two universities had achieved good effects with active engagement and devotion of professors. In this October, NCEPU was honored as Innovation & Talents Introduction Base for Coal Clean Transformation and Efficient Utilization by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R. of China. As an important partner of NCEPU, the research group of University of Edinburgh, led by Prof. Stefano Brandani, made positive contribution to early cooperation and declaration. Mr. Yang also discussed with Prof. Stefano Brandani about future construction of Innovation & Talents Introduction Base and in-depth cooperation with the research group of University of Edinburgh. Prof. Stefano Brandani, with his colleagues, spoke highof the substantive research and education cooperation and agreed with Mr. Yang’s ideas of futrue cooperation plans. Subsequently, he introduced the situation of NCEPU students who first went to Edinburgh University for overseas study. Both sides were satisfied with the current cooperative project in electrical engineering. After the meeting, Prof. Zhang Kai and his research group from School of Renewable Energy Department academic exchanged ideas with Prof. Stefano Brandani and his colleagues. Gu Yujiong, deputy director of School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xu Lingling, vice director of International Cooperation Department and Duan Chunming, deputy director of School of International Education were also present.
