A Research Paper Was Awarded as “The Best Paper” in the “Annual Competition of National University Student Innovation”

        Report from Baoding campus: The “National University Student Innovation Forum” co-sponsored was renamed as “Annual Competition of National University Student” , which was held from 22^nd to 23^rd October in Tongji University and attended by college teachers and students from 120 universities who attended the“National University Student Innovation Program”. A paper written by Chen Liang and his fellow students from NCEPU Baoding campus was awarded as the “best paper”.

        336 academic papers from 120 universities were submitted to the competition, and 318 projects were presented for exhibition. After three-round assessments, 89 papers were selected for group academic exchange, while 119 projects were chosen for exhibition. NCEPU students actively attended the competition and did well: The paper “Research on Instant Measure of Bilateral Intercommunicative Smart Ammeter”, written by Chen Liang, Sun Shaojun and Lan Xingni instructed by Lv Fangcheng and Xie Qing from the Electrical & Electronic Engineering School, as well as the project “Research and Development of Robots Based on Omnidirectional wheel Chassis and Pneumatic Transmission” designed by Liu Yicao, He Tianjin, Liu Wenjing, Chen Mo and Huang Ying directed by Fang Jing from the Engineering Training Center, were chosen for the final competition.

        During the competition, Demonstration of Innovative Achievements,  Excellent Papers Exchange, Seminar on University Student Innovative Thoughts and Approaches and Courses Construction,  Forum on University Student Innovative Drills for Teachers, etc were held successively. Papers and projects submitted by NCEPU aroused wide attention from present scholars, teachers and students. After group discussion, 10 out of 89 papers were assessed as “The Best Papers”, including “Research on Instant Measure of Bilateral Intercommunicative Smart Ammeter”, which demonstrated students’ spirit and won honor for NCEPU.

         “National University Student Innovation Program” was the first national-level scientific innovation program for undergraduate students set by Ministry of Education during “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”. Since its implementation in 2006, the program has funded 18,234 projects involving 53,360 students. Since the beginning  of “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the Ministry of Education has initiated “University Student Innovation and EntrepreneurshipProgram” to further promote entrepreneurial competence for college students.
