President Liu Jizhen Met with Zhang Qiang, President of Jiangsu Tongguang Electronic Wire & Cable Corp. Ltd.

        On the morning of October 28^th, President Liu Jizhen met with Zhang Qiang, President of Jiangsu Tongguang Electronic Wire & Cable Corp. Ltd., in the VIP Lounge of the main building. The two sides had an in-depth talk over on the future university-enterprise cooperation. Vice President Li Heming attended the university-enterprise cooperation conference in the First Meeting Room.

        President Liu considered that production-academy-research cooperation had become the new trend, therefore NCEPU and the corporation should launch key research programs and research centers jointly in the leading fields such as new materials and Smart Grid with regards to major demands of the nation and important industries in order to promote resources sharing, solve technical problems and facilitate the development of industries.

        President Zhang Qiang said that the corporation was faced with many technical problems as well as the common problems of the industry during its development, which called for support from and cooperation with NCEPU thus to achieve substantial results in key fields.

      Vice President Li Heming mentioned in the conference that bilateral cooperation should be put into effect. While the corporation increased investment, the university could organize research teams to make use of the scientific platform to solve technical problems and promote innovative capability for the industry. In the conference, experts from both sides had an in-depth discussion on specific cooperative issues. Attended were Vice President Huang Junhua from Jiangsu Tongguang Electronic Wire & Cable Corp. Ltd., people from the President Office, University-Enterprise Cooperation Office, and Department of Science and Technology of NCEPU.
