The First Session of the First Academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources was Held

       At 2 p.m.of October 24^th, the First Session of the First Academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources was held in D216 of the main building. The session was attended by committee members of the first Academic Committee of the laboratory,vice president Yang Yongping, people working in the laboratory and functional departments.

    Vice president Yang Yongping released Notice on Recruitment of Members of Academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources. According to Construction and Operation Measures for State Key Laboratory (issued by Ministry of Science and Technology [2008]539) and Notice on Approvement of 49 State Key Laboratory (issued by Ministry of Science and Technology [2011]517), and authorized by the Ministry of Education, NCEPU appointed 13 experts as members of the First Academic Committee (tenure until 2016).

      The first Academic Committee is composed of the following members: director Huang Qili (State Grid Corporation of China), vice director Cui Xiang (North China Electric Power University), Li Licheng (China Southern Power Grid), Sun Caixin (Chongqing Univeristy), Cheng Shijie (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Liu Jizhen (North China Electric Power University), Guo Jianbo (China Electric Power Research Institute), Xiao Liye (Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Min Yong (Tsinghua University), Jin Hongguang (Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Chen Weijiang (UHV Department of State Grid Corporation of China), Wang Yupeng (China Guodian Corporation), Xu Jinliang (North China Electric Power University).

        President Liu Jizhen, director of State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of NCEPU to the academicians and experts engaged in the academic committee. President Liu considered that the State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources was the first laboratory for Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources, serving as a national scientific and research platform. All the members of the academic committee, who were experts with great achievement in this field, devoted themselves to this laboratory with affection and support to motivate scientific research and high-level talents cultivation. And NCEPU would do its best with regard to requirement of Ministry of Science and Technology.

       The session was presided over by Mr. Huang Qili, director of Academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Professor Bi Tianshu, vice director of the laboratory delivered a working report. And Professor Cui Xiang, vice director of the laboratory released the working statute for the academic committee. The committee members present in the session discussed and appraised the working report and statute.

        President Liu Jizhen held that the establishment of State Key Laboratory of Alternate Electrical Power System with Renewable Energy Sources was of great significance. In accordance with requirement of Ministry of Science and Technology and the suggestion put forward by members of academic committee, NCEPU would strive to build a sound platform for scientific research to achieve distinctive, high-level and non-substitutable achievements.
