Mr. Wu Zhigong Led a Delegation to Canada

         In order to implement the spirit of the First NCEPU Congress of Party Representatives, actively carry out the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” of NCEPU and promote its internationalization, Wu Zhigong, Secretary of the NCEPU Committee of CPC, visited the Canadian government, several universities and scientific institutions to reach cooperative intention in talent cultivation, scientific research and education cooperation and sign two important cooperative agreements, accompanied by Zhao Xiuguo, Director of the Human Resources Department, Yao Kaiwen, Director of Enterprises Management Department, and Liu Yongqian, Director of International Cooperation Department.

        University of Regina celebrated the 30-year partnership with China this year. During the celebration, Mr. Wu Zhigong talked with Vianne Timmons, President of University of Regina over talent cultivation and scientific research in energy and environment and reached initial cooperation intention. Attending the University Presidents Forum held by University of Regina, Mr. Wu Zhigong delivered a wonderful speech to all the students there, in which he introduced the history, basic situation and development goals of NCEPU and welcomed them to NCEPU for a visit, study or work.

      In Toronto, Director Liu Yongqian signed strategic cooperative agreements with climate laboratories of Amaranth, Ontario and Toronto University on scientific research in climate change and teacher-student communication, expanding room for overseas development.

      During the Overseas Talent Recruitment on October 8, the delegation introduced the basic situation of NCEPU to overseas scholars and students of Toronto University, University of Western Ontario and University of Waterloo, and invited them to come to NCEPU and make contribution to both the university and China.
