New Secretary of the Party Committee of CPC of Beijing University of Agriculture Visited NCEPU

      On the morning of October 11, 2011, Mr. Zheng Wentang, the new Secretary of the Party Committee of CPC of Beijing University of Agriculture, visited NCEPU accompanied by Hua Yuwu, Director of the Administration Office. Wu Zhigong, Secretary of the NCEPU Committee of CPC, President Liu Jizhen met with Mr. Zheng Wentang, present also were Vice President An Liansuo, Wang Qinghua, Director of the Party Committee Office and President Office. 

      On behalf of NCEPU Party Committee, Mr. Wu Zhigong extended warm welcome to Mr. Zheng Wentang and other colleagues from Beijing University of Agriculture. He described the First NCEPU Congress of Party Representatives, and introduced how NCEPU made the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. Mr. Wu thought high of the accomplishment made by Beijing University of Agriculture in applicative inter-disciplinary talent cultivation, agricultural science and technology innovation and research. With impressive achievement, Mr. Wu hoped Beijing University of Agriculture and NCEPU could intensify communication and win-win cooperation with friendliness. 

      President Liu Jizhen expressed heartfelt congratulations to the 55^th Anniversary of Beijing University of Agriculture and the inauguration of Mr. Zheng Wentang. In his opinion, Beijing University of Agriculture with agriculture science as its feature, and NCEPU featuring in the power industry, both made great contribution to the development of agriculture and the power industry in China. He expected greater achievements acquired by the two universities in innovative-country construction and development of higher education in China.

      Zheng Wentang, Secretary of the Party Committee of CPC of Beijing University of Agriculture, expressed thanks for the warm reception. He introduced the achievements and experience acquired in building a modern higher education system for urban agriculture while insisting  “serving agriculture, farmer and rural area first in Beijing and then all over China”. He also looked forward to further communication and cooperation between NCEPU and Beijing University of Agriculture in more fields.
