On May 18th, seminar on the management and maintenance of grid and power transmission and substation for developing countries opened. 33 officials of the power industry from 12 countries, including Cameroon, Palestine, Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Fiji, Syria, Lebanon, Nepal, Jordan, Sudan and Egypt, Xu Yanping (Director of the Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Department, Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce), and Li Xiaofeng (Researcher from the Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Department, Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce), Lei Yingqi, (vice President of NCEPU), Lv Fangcheng (President Assistant), leaders from relevant departments and some teachers attended the opening ceremony. Liu Jianfu, Project leader and Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department presided over the ceremony.
It is reported that the seminar, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by NCEPU will last for 28 days. During this period, participants will learn theories and practical techniques on the operation management and maintenance of gird and transmission and substation in today’s China, and discuss the research questions in the grid technology field. Also, they will visit some of the cities in China.
