NCEPU Awarded "University of Typical Employment Experience for National Graduates"

    On the morning of May 10th, the Ministry of Education held 2010 annual experience exchange meeting of universities on typical employment experience for national graduates, promoting typical employment experience of 50 universities. NCEPU was one of the universities on the list.

    Du Yubo, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Party of the Ministry of Education, Lin Huiqing, committee member of the Ministry of Education and Minister Assistant, and Liu Dawei, Director of Student Information Consult and Career Guidance Center of National Higher Education, attended the meeting. Attendees include leaders responsible for 50 universities of typical employment experience for national graduates from 21 provinces (cities, districts) and some leaders responsible for guiding graduates from some provincial and municipal agencies.

    At the meeting, Lin Huiqing, committee member of the Ministry of Education and Minister Assistant, announced the list of 50 universities of typical employment experience for national graduates, of which Beijing University of Technology, North China Electric Power University were on the list. Subsequently, all the leaders attending the meeting awarded medals of "University of Typical Employment Experience for National Graduates" to the 50 universities. Representatives of Dalian Maritime University, Zhongshan University, Jiangxi University of Technolog, Anhui Industry, Trade, Vocational and Technical College made a typical speech in succession. In the end, Du Yubo, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Party of the Ministry of Education, made an important speech at the meeting.

    To make universities deepen higher education reforms that orient at employment and social demand, and constantly create a new employment situation for university graduates, according to instructions of the State Council, the Ministry of Education decided to actively promote and advocate typical experience of universities of advanced employment, and carry out and propagate summary of employment of university graduates nationwide. The 50 universities of typical experience selected this year include subordinate universities of the Ministry of Education as well as provincial undergraduate universities and vocational colleges, include universities of professions as agriculture and forestry, pedagogy, technology, finance and laws etc, and representatives of national universities and private universities as well, and there are also universities from Midwest. The employment level and social satisfaction of graduates of these universities in all regions and types are among the forefront. The common features of these universities are: they effectively put the employment of the university graduates at a highlight position, concern about employment with great enthusiasm and with infinite love towards the students, improve quality and increase employment rate and promote each other, and improve the level of employment with new concepts.
 
    For over 50 years since it was established, NCEPU has always been following the school-running philosophy of "running a responsible university", and made "personnel cultivation" a core mission in running a university, viewed high quality university graduates employment as a main reflection of the level of school-running, and gradually formed its own component personnel training and employment characteristics. The disciplinary system is of distinctive characteristics, the arrangement of profession structure is reasonable, the personnel training model is innovative, the employment systems is three-dimensionally interactive to each other, the employment measures are perfect and with effective protection, the school-enterprise cooperation is rich in content, and the talent bases are tolerant and open. The quality of university enrollment, personnel training and employment has increased annually, the students´ overall employment showed high graduates employment rate, with a good situation of high proportion of west and primary employment, high demand and low default and reassignment rate.

    In the propaganda work of summary of employment of university graduates in 2010, on the basis of solving the problems of employment of graduates, NCEPU positively and concisely summarized its work characteristics, and after school reporting, expert evaluation, social surveys and field research, it came to the fore from more than 1,000 colleges and universities, and ranked on the list of 50 universities of typical employment experience from 2010 to 2011 with excellent grades. NCEPU won the prize of "University of Typical Employment Experience for National Graduates", which reflected full recognition of the Ministry of Education and other higher authorities toward employment of NCEPU, and was also a great inspiration for the employment in our school. On the basis of consolidating the existing employment achievements, Employment Department and other relevant departments in NCEPU will further steadily carry out construction, innovate service concepts and compact employment characteristics to stimulate employment of NCEPU to develop rapidly and steadily.
