On March 8th, Dr. Vianne Timmons, President of Regina University, Canada, pays a visit to NCEUP, along with Dr. David Malloy, Vice President of Regina University who is in charge of scientific researches, Dr. Anne Lavack, Dean of Business School, Dr. Gordon Huang, Vice Dean of Engineering School, and Ms. Li Liu, Director of International Relation Office. Prof. Liu Jizhen, President of NCEPU, receives and has a conference with the delegation. The attendants also include Vice President Li Chengrong, Liu Yongqian, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Office, Zhao Yi, Dean of School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Yang Jingjing, Director of Key Projects Office, He Yongxiu, Vice Dean of Business School, Liu Mingjun, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department, etc.
At the beginning of the conference, President Liu extends his warm welcome to the delegation of Regina University on behalf of NCEPU. During the ten-year cooperation and extensive contact, the two parties have established a long-term cooperative relationship and profound friendship, and their substantial cooperation covers such fields as student exchange, exchange visits of teachers and scientific researches, etc. Dr. Vianne Timmons says that Regina University also attaches great importance to the partnership with NCEPU and he hopes for deeper and broader cooperation between the two parties on the basis of previous good experiences. President Liu confirms that many returned scholars from Regina University are now working in NCEPU, serving as a bridge between the two parties. NCEPU is full of confidence in the prospect of future cooperation with Regina University. Dr. Vianne Timmons expresses his hope for multi-level collaboration in such fields as humanity, economy and trade, as well as computer science.
In the end, both parties sign the cooperation agreement on “1+1” master co-cultivation and scientific researches.
