Liu Chunming’s PhD Thesis Honored 2010 Beijing Outstanding Doctorate Dissertation

 A few days ago, Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and Beijing Municipal Committee of Academic Degrees jointly released the notification on the publication of the list of 2010 Beijing Outstanding Doctorate Dissertation (Beijing teaching and research [2010] No.15): 50 doctoral thesis were approved as 2010 Beijing Outstanding Doctorate Dissertation. The doctor thesis of Liu Chunming, supervised by Professor Liu Liangguan from School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was on the list. His thesis, with the name “Research of Geomagnetic Induced Current in Mid-and-low Latitude Grid and Its Assessment Method”, is the first thesis in NCEPU honored as Beijing Municipal Excellent Doctorate Dissertation.

    The assessment of Beijing Municipal Outstanding Doctorate Disseration is the important content of the Innovation Project of Science and Technology and Postgraduate Education in colleges and universities in Beijing. It is aimed at improving the quality of postgraduate education, encouraging innovations, and promoting the emergence of high-level talents. Beijing Municipal Commission of Education will, in accordance with the related regulations, establish special funds to support the supervisors of the authors of Beijing Municipal Outstanding Doctorate Dissertation to carry out new scientific researches; and the authors of excellent doctoral theses will be given priority to receive the funding of the relevant construction projects in the Innovation Project of Science and Technology and Postgraduate Education in Beijing colleges and universities.
